Starlink: What it is and how to install it

by | Apr 17, 2025

Our world is increasingly connected and accessible, yet there are still many inhabited places where a fast Internet connection seems like a utopia. This is where Starlink technology comes into play!

Starlink is one of the projects born from the space company SpaceX which, thanks to a dense network of artificial satellites, is able to deliver high-speed Internet anywhere on the planet. But how easy is it to connect to the satellite network? And above all, how much does it cost? Starlink has prepared several subscription plans for their service with different costs and services based on the customer’s needs. The basic service, designed for homes, is divided into two pricing plans:

Low priority plan:
at a cost of €29 per month, you can have unlimited access to the internet with low priority.
Standard Plan: at a cost of €40 per month, you can have unlimited access to the internet with priority.

The two plans are distinguished by their access to Priority, which ensures a stable and fast connection even during peak traffic times. If, on the other hand, you have a company and need significantly more bandwidth, you can access a range of plans ranging from €93 to €1,060 that ensure perfect stability and continuity of service. Starlink also has several plans that do not require a fixed installation but can be conveniently activated in any location, from oceans to deserts.

In short, it seems that Starlink will allow the whole world to take a leap forward and fully enter the digital age. One of the last hurdles remaining to be overcome, however, is the installation of the service. This not only requires an initial cost to purchase the antenna and necessary cabling, but can also be complex, especially if you live in apartment buildings or need a business plan.

For this very reason, the advice is always to rely on expert technicians who will know how to make the most of the satellite connection.
